SEDA has a Lao and an international Board. The Lao board contributes advice and links to the Lao government. The international board contributes expertise in international and Laos law, infrastructure development, accounting, information technology, fundraising, renewable energy, agribusiness and women in business.

Ms. Souly QuachAngkham, SEDA’s Founder and Director, has extensive business experience:

  • importing and exporting – cars, commodities (oil, gemstones), building supplies, clothing, shoes, souvenirs, household goods, herbal medicine
  • construction (100 room hotel, soft drink factory)
  • production (tuk tuks, cars, soft drinks, mineral water)
  • real estate (building, leasing, sales)
  • insurance

 

Her management experience includes the following:

  • managed budgets up to US$30 million
  • managed up to 11 managers and 350 staff at a time
  • undertaken up to 7 business projects in Laos at one time.
